I made coffee!

Dragged myself out of the house despite feeling REALLY tired and I DON'T WANNA.

Got a hot chocolate and banana bread.

Explained my complex, lengthy needs to dental nurse and dentist.

Asserted myself politely but firmly to dentist, practice manager etc several times to get my needs met.

Post Office for mail.

Multiple telephone calls to arrange home visit doctor.

Communicated to home visit doctor.

Laundry.

Made progress on the Massive Document Update that falls due at the end of October.

Provided some very carefully phrased/slightly scary feedback on something to Important People, which was surprisingly well received.

Asserted my desire to attend a European meeting next month in person, and was granted permission to do so.

Nervously prepared to hunker down (changed my mind about evacuating--the folks in Broward and Miami-Dade need to do that more than I do, and the highways are already gridlocked).

Asked my useless landlady if she wanted me to board the windows. Have yet to receive a response. Assuming they may be blown out, so planning to take anything of value (so most electronics and jewelry) with me to go stay with my family.

Assuming I don't come back to a condo full of glass (it's unlikely but yeah), have decided once and for all I will be moving in December, as I'm tired of dealing with my landlady's bullshit plus neighbors' bullshit.

I signed the last documents today so that I can be fully free of the abusive ex.

...and spend the next decade paying back that freedom to the entities that have given it to me on credit.
