I think it has been really good for us both: she feels less "stuck" and is excited about getting her house in a state where she can invite people over and be proud of it; I'm feeling useful and glad to help my friend, which is good for my (extremely poor at the moment) mental health and helps keep me motivated to get my own stuff done too.
