Addendum: I just wanted to point out that kate, syntaxofthings, cosmolinguist and I have been posting daily, with very few exceptions, for a whole year. I think that's pretty awesome. \o/

I had a friend say "oh can you take delivery of a parcel for me while I'm away at my girlfriend's" and I said "sure, no problem"....he didn't tell me it was A BIKE. The boxes bikes come in seem to be approximately the size and shape of our narrow front hall, so I've wrestled it down to the basement so we can get in and out of the house until he comes to collect it. :)
