In the comments to this entry, either do the following exercise or say you have done it in your own space (you can access-lock or private-lock your journal entry if you like):

List as many things as you can to illustrate what a wonderful person you are: personality traits, accomplishments, friends you've made, children you've raised, bad habits you've kicked, adversity you've overcome, anything and everything you can think of to capture the success in your life. Don't hold back!

Try to list at least fifteen things. Then bookmark the comment or entry and, anytime you're having a down day, come back and look at it, for a confidence booster.

It's challenge time!

Comment with a goal you have for the coming week.

Feel free to share more than one thing if you feel like it.

Extra credit: find someone in the comments and cheer them on, find out more, or ask if they'd like some help or support.

Nothing is too big, too small, too strange, or too cryptic. And in case you'd rather do this in private, anonymous comments are screened. I will only unscreen if you ask me to.

Comment with Just One Thing that you've accomplished in the past twenty-four hours. It doesn't have to be a hard thing, or even a thing you think is particularly awesome. Just a thing that you did.

So we've all got a todo list a mile long on this lovely Saturday morning, right?

Here's the deal. We each pick a thing off our list and, for twenty minutes, we work towards doing that thing. And then we say in comments what we did (whether "thirty pages of [specific textbook], woot" or "I twenty minutes a thing, yay me" or whatnot) and we take a ten-minute break. And then we twenty minutes a thing, the same thing or another thing as we choose, and we say in comments what we did and we take a ten-minute break. And we cheer each other on all day.

And then, when the next Just One Thing post goes up (someone wanna get that?), we all have things to post!

Bonus random challenge: Set a goal for the day. Do twenty minutes of something that will help achieve the goal. Take a ten-minute break to do fun stuff (or other productive stuff, that works too). Repeat the half-hour cycle until the goal is accomplished.

Hello! I'm, uh, just posting this because I absolutely adore this community and I want to be able to write my "one thing" and I hope I'm not stepping on any toes by posting this up. I have never guest hosted for any community before, even, I just want us to keep the ball rolling on this one, so - let's cheer each other on!

"Street team" is a marketing term for a group of fans who promote a product or company by word-of-mouth. A street team usually works for free, providing the band/company/group they believe in with advertising just by loving that thing and talking about it, in order to get more people interested and talking. Sometimes the band/company/group provides incentives in the form of merchandise or show tickets.

In conclusion: let's get the band back together just by participating and talking about [profile] awesomeeers!

Challenge #1
If you have a random idea for a challenge, post it! It doesn't have to be formulated as a challenge. It doesn't have to be "good" or "good enough." ("Good" and "good enough" are imposter syndrome talking.) Just post it!

Team Mission: There are 100 people subscribed to this community. I challenge 10 of you (that's 1/10th!) to post a random challenge by 31st May.

Rad Incentive: If we reach 10 random challenges, I will donate 1 month of paid time to [community profile] awesomeers, as well as 1 month of paid time to one of the people who posts a one-off challenge (chosen at random).

Feel free to use this post to brainstorm ideas for challenges, or just to chat with other Awesomeers!

So I've been wondering what happened to this community since I spectacularly failed at hosting, and my best guess is that [personal profile] randomling's life stuff has got in the way of their very heavy admin involvement.

So I thought I might try to jump-start this again. Let's start with Just One Thing, shall we?
