So we've all got a todo list a mile long on this lovely Saturday morning, right?

Here's the deal. We each pick a thing off our list and, for twenty minutes, we work towards doing that thing. And then we say in comments what we did (whether "thirty pages of [specific textbook], woot" or "I twenty minutes a thing, yay me" or whatnot) and we take a ten-minute break. And then we twenty minutes a thing, the same thing or another thing as we choose, and we say in comments what we did and we take a ten-minute break. And we cheer each other on all day.

And then, when the next Just One Thing post goes up (someone wanna get that?), we all have things to post!

It is three oh five. (Probably all-nightering. I had WAY too much caffeine Friday.) I am going to do something about food.

Made and ate two poached eggs on toast. Nom. Meanwhile, emptied dishwasher.

Shorter 'on' this time so I could line up my breaks ending with the hour and half hour. Did a bunch for my one class, though. Dunno why I've been putting that off.

I uh distracted by my prompt call. so small, 700-word poem about sweet water and the world's general lack thereof.

Moar stuff for my New Media Communications class, mostly discussion board. Lost track of time, though.

Figured out who I'm voting for in the school board election Tuesday. (Nobody puts their intended policies on the Internet for something as small and insignificant—ha right—as school board elections. I'm going with the one endorsed by an education association.) I'm starting to yawn, though, and it's fifteen minutes till dawn, so maybe I ought to go to bed and pick this up when I wake up.

Yeah, so I've heard. Which invites the question of, why do I have absolutely zilch to decide between the candidates on other than the article in the local twice-weekly paper and the one candidate's Facebook page?

Twenty minutes of reading through all my journals, facebook and tumblr. Honest, it was on the list!

Now going to go do waaaaay more than twenty minutes in the garden.

Of course it was on the list. Coffeepot knows that's what I'm doing first thing after my nap.

Oh, excellent, this is a brilliant idea to start the list with this! It's the first thing I do when I wake up, might as well be on the list, right?

And my 20 minutes are done, too, so now it's time to write for 20 mintues. :D

Going to go put on clean clothes, transfer the 25min mp3 I have to listen to for NMC class to my Kindle Fire, grab my headphones, and go out for a walk in this glorious sunny 72F-ish weather. I'll never get to go walking this weekend otherwise, there's thunderstorms expected.

Oh, this reminds me, we were going to find a local park to go walking and hanging around in this afternoon. After my first writing, I'm going to do that.

It was a glorious walk and the mp3 was quite educational. Shame there's no transcript (that I know of), because I want to use it as a source for my short paper due tomorrow.

Participated in a #yuletide word war. 300 words exactly. And the opening scene (by which I mean the first half of the story) is FINALLY done, and the third scene (the back...fourth of the story?) is FINALLY started.

Shredded cheese for mashed potato casserole. (I think that's what Mom's making.) I need to either word war some more, this time on the essay for NMC or the blog post for Transgender Politics, or go take a nap. Given the amount of sleep I've had in the past forty-eight hours, I'm going to attempt the nap.

Lovely nap. Also, emptied dishwasher, folded my laundry (someone helpfully switched it for me), put laundry away, switched somebody else's laundry. Time to actually open the textbook now.

After an extended period of not awesomeering, I participated in another #yuletide word war. 134 words, different story, and I've got a good hold on the story now and it's up to 252 words.

Okay, I did manage 20 minutes writing, and we got in our first mini-walk of the day and a trip to the market for lunch (which yielded cheap, frozen, shelled edamame, which is most excellent), and now I need to settle in for another 20 minutes writing. Trying to get a little something written for fan_flashworks.

Dinner and loaded dishwasher. Also, the story from a couple comments up is now 389 words long. Since my minimum word count is a thousand and the story is only just beginning, I'm gonna blow right by that minimum. \o/
