Made a doctors appointment for tomorrow afternoon.

A day's worth of presentations to ninth graders, who actually reacted appropriately at appropriate points in the presentation. Such an improvement over last year.

Feel like I've done nothing today, but I did two loads of laundry (and I hate laundry), did all the dishes, made myself some food with vegetables in it, and now I'm going to buy a get-well card for someone who'll really appreciate it then I'm off to the pub to do what might plausibly be described as activism, not just drinking beer. ;)

Deleted 5700 words from the novel before breakfast.

Somewhat easier than it sounds as I just zapped everything not in the core Points of View. Surprisingly only needed about 100 words to patch over the deletions.

I was initially resistant to losing part of it, about 1600 words, as it completes a secondary character's arc (one of the bad guys), but I figured out a way to feed all that into the epilogue, in a way that actually makes the epilogue work better, so bye bye wordies....
