Just One Thing! (3 November 2015)

It's challenge time!

Comment with Just One Thing you've accomplished in the last 24 hours or so. It doesn't have to be a hard thing, or even a thing that you think is particularly awesome. Just a thing that you did.

Feel free to share more than one thing if you're feeling particularly accomplished!

Extra credit: find someone in the comments and give them props for what they achieved!

Nothing is too big, too small, too strange or too cryptic. And in case you'd rather do this in private, anonymous comments are screened. I will only unscreen if you ask me to.

Go!

(You can unscreen.)

I texted my aunt about crashing in her guest room for a few months. My parents are good people, but living with them feels like suffocating especially now that I'm in my 30s and I've never lived apart from them. I hate my current city, and I desperately need a change. My aunt said I can move in and only give them money for food and utilities until I get a job and I think I'm going to finally do this thing that I've been talking about for years.

Leaving home is going to be scary and hard, because I have an anxious brain and POCD and depression and I like to stay where it's save, but I can't take it any more, so I'm going to do it.

Sounds like you have done some careful thinking about this nonny. Good luck with this next step.

Did a large chunk of work on a couple of presentations for upcoming conferences. Almost done!

Good job! Good presentations are always much more work than it looks like they should be.

That's so true. I spent an hour an a half making one graphic for a slide today. I'm quite proud of it, but I'm probably going to spend about a minute and a half talking about it at most!

sat down with the chair of a group I'm administrator for, went through a list of what needs dealing with, worked out what they already had and should have dealt with, and what they didn't have that I should have dealt with. Also flagged three items that don't need dealing with until the next board meeting.

Sooo much work to do. But at least I know which bits are my responsibility.

That's a big step forward in tackling the Work Mountain. Excellent!

Lots of toddlers at story time! But also was able to build my robot army for tomorrow's program.

Both sound like a pretty awesome way to spend a day. :)
