Just One Thing (29 November 2016)
It's challenge time!
Comment with Just One Thing you've accomplished in the last 24 hours or so. It doesn't have to be a hard thing, or even a thing that you think is particularly awesome. Just a thing that you did.
Feel free to share more than one thing if you're feeling particularly accomplished!
Extra credit: find someone in the comments and give them props for what they achieved!
Nothing is too big, too small, too strange or too cryptic. And in case you'd rather do this in private, anonymous comments are screened. I will only unscreen if you ask me to.
Go!

Thank you for collecting all the candidate responses for the committee elections, too. That's very helpful.

Counseling.
Parenting, a bit.
Housework.
Communication with my partner. And a tiny little bit of togetherness.

I suppose I can be okay with having weathered the same, rather than having the absurdity recognition abort the attack.

It took years for the fear that my bff hated me (because of something I'd said or done) to no longer come up as a brainweasel special or be instantly dismissed. Though in that time, we were able to get it from hours of woe and patient arguments from him to "ah, this thing" and get it able to be dismissed by him affirming that he didn't hate me.
Recognition of "this is a brainweasel attack" is the first step. "This is a brainweasel attack and probably wrong" is next. "This is a brainweasel attack and absolutely ridiculous" follows. "This is a brainweasel attack and utterly ridiculous and $TRUSTED-PERSON can probably talk me down" is somewhere in there. That is followed by the talk-down process getting quicker. And eventually it can dispel upon realizing that it's ridiculous. It just takes a lot of practice.
