Went to see my boyfriend when I didn't think I'd be able to for another week! Which was not something I was looking forward to. Had a really nice afternoon.

It has been a no-fun couple of weeks, I'm glad we got to watch some cricket and eat dinner together and have a beer and just do normal stuff like that. Just what I needed.

Took the children to gymnastics. General single-parenting stuff (making meals, setting up drawing/painting/games, rationing CBeebies). Praised the pre-schooler for being super-helpful by, e.g., running the bath and fetching the towels all on her own.

Weekend remote overtime work to help this project meet its deadline (tomorrow!).

Laundry.

Swept and mopped kitchen floor. Cleaned stove & sink, put drip pans in dishwasher.

Went to store for bacon for breakfast; bacon was BOGO so hooray for savings!

Paid cell phone bill and car insurance; saw that contract for cell phone ends soon. May start shopping around at different carriers.

Communication with my primary partner, including some practical discussion of what timing and sort of communication we wanted around their dates with others, and a fantastically successful implementation of same. Going over our calendars for the next week, and talking about fears and logistical difficulties.

Correspondence with a friend.

Housework.

Togetherness with primary partner. Who is mine, and I am theirs, and happiness transforms them into a being of light and fire.

Also working out with the people I'm staying with about food and logistics for dinners and other events.
