I read the whole double Torah portion Matot-Masei. Which is two hundred and fifty verses, mostly lists of proper nouns. And in spite of that, I didn't let service overrun its nominal two-hour slot, nor did I read so fast that nobody could follow. I also modelled for my community the attitude that it's better to do hard things imperfectly than just give up because you can't manage the absolute ideal form of liturgy.
(If you have no idea what I'm on about, don't worry about it, but it was a minor feat.)
