I stood up for myself.

- I went to the bank and deposited a check.

- I made three grilled cheese sandwiches.

Kept my cool after my lack of money was brought up.

I reconnected with a old friend.

- Attached a large picture frame to the powerchair with carabiners so I could get it from point A to point B. Took quite some doing and ingenuity.

- Visited a friend, met her mum and dad and brother

- Noodled around the shops with two friends

- Bought a friend a bunch of jonquils

- Ordered two books from book depository for a friend

I did errands and stupid paperwork stuff, including my very last research monitoring form. (I've also downloaded the Intent to Submit, which feels kind of huge.)

I went running even though I felt like crying. And when people stared at me for sitting in the park and crying some more, I gave them the look of "I don't care what you think" and carried on.

I read the whole double Torah portion Matot-Masei. Which is two hundred and fifty verses, mostly lists of proper nouns. And in spite of that, I didn't let service overrun its nominal two-hour slot, nor did I read so fast that nobody could follow. I also modelled for my community the attitude that it's better to do hard things imperfectly than just give up because you can't manage the absolute ideal form of liturgy.

(If you have no idea what I'm on about, don't worry about it, but it was a minor feat.)
