Trigger warning for parental abuse--

I made it through hearing my father yell, curse out and hit my 22-year-old sister over a perceived slight with minimal emotional repercussions. I'm afraid I'm gonna explode tomorrow because that's what happened last time I had a really bad abuse-related incident, but that time everyone was against me, and this time I think we all know my father's in the wrong... hopefully... so it's slightly less frustrating. But I'm still trying not to think about it too much (my mom and sister refuse to accept he's abusive, even when he's REALLY OBVIOUSLY so, and I was chewing on that earlier and had to take an anxiety pill), which was my downfall last time, so that's concerning.

On the bright side, it hasn't derailed the progress I've been making this week and I have not gone out and bought wine.

I walked around and caught mons and helped shop and remembered to put food in my face. Success!

I slept in & got lots of sleep. I went to the store to get dinner supplies & didn't overspend. I successfully made a new recipe!

<333 This is plenty. And I do pride myself on my self-awareness, so I'm glad you think so. It's unfortunately borne out of years of dealing with the same bullshit, but I have put a lot of work into how I navigate these situations. And so far I'm okay today.

Went to Portmeirion for the first time since 2005. Fell in love with it again.

Followed up on some potential plans, and was rewarded with a movie outing.
