So I've been wondering what happened to this community since I spectacularly failed at hosting, and my best guess is that randomling's life stuff has got in the way of their very heavy admin involvement.

So I thought I might try to jump-start this again. Let's start with Just One Thing, shall we?

Yay! I've been missing this community, and I'm glad you've brought it back!

I oversaw the repair of my apartment's dishwasher, which was the culmination of a complicated and drama-filled process that required me to Use My Words in daunting conversations with my landlady, my roommate, and my landlady's husband who came to do the repairs.

I have moved dishes from sink to dishwasher! Also groceries.

Yay dish-doing! And omg, all these people are kicking ass at doing groceries! (Which is THE WORST, in my opinion.)

I don't mind grocery shopping, weirdly! It's just usually that the timing's bad, and my energy's drained for the rest of the day.

And now the dishwasher is started.

Bought new walking shoes today - and about to go out for a walk. :D

Can I go back 48 instead of 24, and claim COMPLETELY CLEARING my center island in the kitchen of everything that wasn't supposed to be there? (Except for two books being repaired, which are SORT of supposed to be there until the repair finishes, and I'm actively progressing that.)

i think the only even vaguely worthwhile thing i've done in the last 24 hours is take a shower.

Spouse and I talked about getting our wills written this summer; you get to be fifty-ish and that's just not something you should put off any longer, right?

that is responsibility, tru fax. (funnily enough, I'm having an advanced directive conversation with someone I know sometime this week. more in a: so i know what's on there, in case of necessity kind of way, not in an I know anything whatsoever about writing advance directives.)

Apr 27: I was on the bus back from joining a rally in DC. I love having the freedom to do things like that and even though I was plagued with brain weasels, I was there and that mattered.
