Still on my way to cleaning all the things. Am at the only-4-things-left sign.

Managed small talk with repair guy and only felt a little self-conscious.

Went to the gym and did aaaall the weights machines, even ones I hadn't tried before. Well, except the ones I knew would aggravate my tennis elbow.

Read the draft of an article about the region and period I work on that a senior academic unexpectedly emailed to me while I was having lunch. Now attempting to convince myself that another Anglophone working on this region and period does not mean that people are stealing my research turf and that there will be nothing original left for me to say ever. Once this process is complete I will contemplate emailing with my feedback.

I actually went home when my migraine meant I almost passed out at my desk.

And I spent a decent amount of today actually going, "You are getting really, really good" to my junior processor. (Given that two weeks ago, she couldn't interpret a fucked up title, I am incredibly impressed. Complicated is still beyond her, but bizarre isn't.)
