I DID SOME SEWING-SHAPED MENDING. The repairs are... ugly but functional. Or at least not pretty, but functional!

Posted some of the week's writings. Started several projects half-heartedly, not finishing any of them. Cleaned the microwave, which really really needed it. Repaired a cat toy.

I'm in the process of doing ALL THE THINGS in preparation for my trip back to my parents' place on Tuesday, but I'm particularly pleased with my progress at using up the perishables in my fridge so I don't waste any. Last of smoked gouda: now macaroni and cheese (and leftovers can go in the freezer for when I get back). Last of napa cabbage and carton of eggs: now fried rice.

No worries! At some point in the next three weeks I will be disappearing to have this baby. I'll try to give advance warning, but babies are not generally known for their predictability and punctuality...

Aw, a holiday baby! Maybe we should put up a recruiting post? I don't suppose you'll be interested in posting after the baby is born (for a little while anyway). I can probably manage it, but weekends are very unpredictable for me.

TBH it should be fine. I think I was back checking DW a couple of days after Humuhumu was born. I can manage the Just One Thing posts, it's just if I happen to actually be in hospital & in labour on a Fri/Sat/Sun that I might miss one or two...!
