I finally scheduled a doctor's appointment that I've been needing to schedule for the past week.

I somehow got through the day? (The lab kind of exploded, and because of illness going around and such like, little help to be had.) I think in between all the confusion, I did manage to show the student I had with me today a few things.

How come whenever I have a student with me in that part of the lab, it's either an incredibly quiet day and they learn nothing, or it's a mad crazy day and they learn nothing because nobody really has time to show them anything or let them try anything?!

Well done. I think it's good for students to have realistic experiences of lab life. It teaches them that the world doesn't revolve around them, unlike school / uni labs which are specifically set up for them, and that's valuable.

This is true. It feels unsatisfactory, though.

I had the annual mammogram (that's the achievement), and then got my hair trimmed and had the world's best cappuccino with hazelnut flavoring (the reward for putting up with having my tits squished without squeaking.)
