SO MANY FUCKING THINGS, oh my word. We are champions.

MORE FLAT VIEWING. And put in an offer (which involved printing things and scanning them etc). And picking up aspen shavings for my feckless brother's snake (which involved being in Mornington Crescent for the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE THAT I HAVE EVER MANAGED IT, holy shit, but then it refused to be photographed, the wretched beast). Counselling. Hugged a gingko. Made it back home in time for familial dinner followed by a BAT SAFARI.

Paperwork. Endless paperwork. V proud of self.

I did not kill the doctor I spoke to today. Despite clearly stating why I wanted to see one of their doctors (and despite a website that claims they have chronic pain folks), I was basically told that not only could she not help me, her "holistic approach" involves taking away all of my meds because they're atypical/pain meds/unnecessary meds, etcetera.

My fury still simmers. What you are calling a holistic approach, isn't.

That's frustrating, and congratulations on getting through it. (Celiac sufferer here, and getting headaches from having to explain that no, I can't eat gluten, at all. It's worse when the doctors are idiots.)

~laughs wryly~ Oh, that was another fantastic moment during the doctor's appointment of what the fuck. I too have celiac; I've been gluten free for good for four years, and due to the fact that I get DH, no one has felt the need to make me go on gluten to replicate the results of testing the better portion of 20 years ago.

This woman thought that I should have biopsy testing to make certain I still have celiac. Not how this works.

(She was also startled when my housemate, who'd gone with me, went, "Wait, if you have eaten gluten or soy today, don't touch her."

Me: "She is touching me through a sheet."

Her: "What does this have to do with anything?"

Housemate: "She will get sick from that, she will break out from that, don't touch her.")

I remembered to post on facebook so that part of my family knows what's going on in my life. (Mostly because I have something that I was recently diagnosed with that runs in families, and I hadn't told that side of the family.)

Did emergency babysitting/playing-with of the guidebug when his Mummy was sick. And then spent 100 minutes on public transport getting home. Oh, and the scariest thing: calling a taxi!

Coped with !surprise four-hours-notice overnight visit from flight-attendant relative: got house in somewhat order, bed prepared, one bathroom more respectable than usual...and then didn't tear his throat out when he said he wouldn't sleep much and probably wouldn't shower. ^_^
