Just One Thing! (18 June 2015)
Jun. 18th, 2015 05:00 pmComment with Just One Thing you've accomplished in the last 24 hours or so. It doesn't have to be a hard thing, or even a thing that you think is particularly awesome. Just a thing that you did.
Feel free to share more than one thing if you're feeling particularly accomplished!
Extra credit: find someone in the comments and give them props for what they achieved!
Nothing is too big, too small, too strange or too cryptic. And in case you'd rather do this in private, anonymous comments are screened. I will only unscreen if you ask me to.

Date: 2015-06-19 02:20 pm (UTC)Over on Facebook, I posted a quiz that purports to tell you which American presidential candidate your political opinions are most similar to. And people have been commenting with mostly their thoughts about the process and not with their matches, and I have been suggesting ways to be more engaged in the political process based on their thoughts--for this friend offering suggestions for who might be able to give a rundown of opposing viewpoints on issues they aren’t familiar with, for that friend offering ways to positively view being most similar in views to a candidate they’ve never heard of.
I feel like I’m being awesome at encouraging civic engagement, and being way more successful than usual for me at being gentle and encouraging and proactive towards everyone, regardless of whether their political views are similar to mine or not. :D
