Spent an hour sorting the garden out. (It doesn't /look/ any better, but /I/ know progress has been made! And I've been leaving stuff half-done for weeks so it feels good to start making inroads on it again.)

Sometimes just knowing progress has been made is half the battle. Also, I love the word inroads.

Yeah, a bit of progress is so much better than the vague niggling guilt I have otherwise.

Funny, I was thinking when I was writing that that the word "inroads" should get used more because I like it. :)

Hung out with my Ladies Who Walk in the Lickey Hills for the last time before I start work again.

We had ice cream and went round our usual circuit twice. It was lovely. *sigh*

It is lovely. It's also funny how much attention we attract, all wearing our babies in slings.

Made it home despite South Eastern Trains managing to book my supposed wheelchair seat in the middle of a carriage without a wheelchair seat, and not telling Virgin Trains I was travelling - just as well I went to tell the station staff I was on the 12:01 as soon as I arrived, because their answer was 'not according to our system you aren't'.

Fortunately the 8 minutes between my local train arriving at Darlington and the London train pulling in was enough time for them to ring the train guard, check they had an unoccupied wheelchair space, and get the ramp, and for me to roll the length of the platform, twice.
