It's challenge time!

Comment with Just One Thing you've accomplished in the last 24 hours or so. It doesn't have to be a hard thing, or even a thing that you think is particularly awesome. Just a thing that you did.

Feel free to share more than one thing if you're feeling particularly accomplished!

Extra credit: find someone in the comments and give them props for what they achieved!

Nothing is too big, too small, too strange or too cryptic. And in case you'd rather do this in private, anonymous comments are screened. I will only unscreen if you ask me to.

Go!

Had one and a half scary conversations (I need to have two today). The first one went really well!

I appear to have gotten email working on the new laptop - something that's been niggling at me for a year or more, since I first started thinking about replacing it, as I had no idea what my email password was. I copied an archive of emails across last week, but that didn't cover the actual accounts (which I think is pretty damned stupid). Fortunately, in trying to figure out the settings, I remembered I had a bookmark for reading my email online, which was sufficient to give me a hint to the password (cryptic clue in the link name).

Unfortunately following that link seems to have updated the email pointer, so there's about a week's worth of email I can't download. Guess I'll have go check it online.

Next up, downloading Kaspersky to replace Macafee, and I think that's the last thing needed to have the new laptop fully usable. I've also got one last task to do on the old one, and then it can be retired to the graveyard of lost laptops.

Oh, and I was suitably sarcastic to Southeastern on twitter about yesterday's train (near-)fiasco :)

I did all the insurances and bank stuff that you need to do when you move to another country. And I went to the supermarket to do all the shopping for this weekend, because all the shops are closed the entire weekend, because of the Swiss national day. *sigh*
