We survived a goddamned day from the lowest pits of some sadistic archdemon's personal hell-plaything, in which: one of us hadn't had anything to eat in two and a half days and no water in 9 hours, one of us (me) wound up at work comp and the chiropractor for injuring herself being a dumbass, one of us was having the kind of insomnia that leads to bloodshed, and one of us had a migraine.

We're all still breathing, not bleeding from wounds, and even still speaking to each other!

Went to school at taught for 5.5 hours, came home and went to bed at 7:30pm so that I could have the 12 hours sleep i desperately needed.

Also, I did not start screaming at my puppy (loan officer with zero fucking attention span and not a whole lot of comprehension) when he basically went, "Pay attention to this loan!" six times in less than two hours, and I swear to gods, we reinvented the wheel all six times. By time two, my manager turned to me and said, "Um. I swear we're had this conversation with him already."

By time six, I was getting props from every other senior loan processor on my floor for not losing my cool.

I got a real boost at work. On Wednesday I was feeling really down and insecure but yesterday I just about did the best work I've done since before summer vacations, I dare say.

I did not vacuum the (comparatively) massive spider that ambushed me in my kitchen this morning, but instead captured him in a plastic cup and reintroduced him to the wild.

I resisted the urge to spend more money on eBay even though it meant losing an auction I really wanted to win.

I helped people with DW dev stuff, and I learned some Python, and I made progress with the various knitting projects, even though I was feeling utterly useless.
