I'm in the process of taking the day off from academic work, and I cooked a delicious noodle thing to inaugurate my new wok!

I ran that 5K I've been training 10 weeks for (by myself, not as an event).

Less physically demanding but spoon-sucking: cleaned bits of the house that haven't seen cleaning supplies in some time.

It's slightly outside the 24-hour mark, but I need to celebrate! I finally got my driver's license on Friday! I'm about 15 years late to the party, and I don't think I will ever enjoy driving, but at least now I don't feel like crying at the very thought of getting behind the wheel, and feel confident that if I HAD to drive in some situation, that I could actually manage it adequately.

Thanks! I had my permit, and had it expire, probably 3-4 times through high school and college, so I know how that goes! This permit was just a couple of weeks away from expiring, too.

Said No to something I have wanted to do because I am too low energy (see also: major headache yet to be kicked). Taking care of me.

I got a new wireless network set up how I wanted, including a backup drive mounted to the wireless router.

...and didn't melt down when I discovered my favorite backup software that will back up to "any" location won't handle the network-attached drive. On the hunt for new backup software, tho. :P

Decided not to go to the contra picnic because it was stressing me out. Instead, read and snuggled the cat and worked on sewing project.
