Started chapter two!

Made some homemade seitan. Saves money, but time- and energy-consuming.

Went to class, learned how to care for my friends chickens. (But failed to meet my daily writing goal.)

Slogged through some boring but necessary reading, and met with a student. Then came home and baked muffins!

Spun yarn til my spindle got too full to manage!

ETA: Also sold a skein of yarn today, woohoo, and even got it mailed off!

When I got laid off yesterday, I went around and broke the news quietly to my work friends and exchanged contact info, then got my stuff together, comforted the other woman who was laid off, and then came home and ate a giant bowl of ice cream.

Also taught all the kids (well teens) and it's been going pretty well so far. Seems I've gotten pretty good at this teaching thing :)
