I have successfully cleared the floor and hoovered* the front bedroom, which has needed doing for some time. I can now get to the window again, thanks to some reorganisation.

Admittedly quite a lot of clearing the floor involved putting the detritus on the bed as a temporary measure, but it's a first stage towards dealing with it permanently.

*Yesterday's achievement was unclogging the hoover, which is a Dyson style and I'd seriously overfilled the dust cylinder, to the point it had backed up all the way to the filter.
