It's challenge time!

Comment with Just One Thing that you've accomplished in the past twenty-four hours. It doesn't have to be a hard thing, or even a thing you think is particularly awesome. Just a thing that you did.

Feel free to share more than one thing if you’re feeling accomplished!

Extra credit: find someone in the comments and give them props for what they achieved!

Nothing is too big, too small, too strange, or too cryptic. And in case you'd rather do this in private, anonymous comments are screened.

Go!

I took my four year old to the fiber festival! (For his sake. I don't knit, or do anything of the sort, I love the fiber arts but have no time to take them up. He is newly fascinated with spinning, and this was one town over and free, so off we went! He had a very good time, so I feel doubly good about it.)

As a fiber artist myself, I salute your efforts to encourage his interests in spinning and suchlike!

P.S. In the Andes, five year olds spin on drop spindles...just saying. :)

Yep, he did so with a very nice woman who was demonstrating and who let him try, and also on an electric spinner with the nice folks demoing it. I am sure he would love the latter, however, over $700 is a bit much to spend on a 4-year-old's crafty interests. He's getting a student drop spindle, tho.

I don't spin or knit or...and *I* wanted the electric one. Cheating or not, it looked marvelously easy and fun. Heh. Their willingness to engage my son and let him use it was also a bonus. I was impressed with the people as well as the tool. :)

That. Is. Awesome.

I have contemplated the electric spinners myself because sometimes it hurts too much to spin my drop spindle, but not too much to draft the yarn. I have not yet justified the expense, although I hear they are less expensive on eBay or if you make them yourself.
