Dragged myself out of the house when I didn't really want to, had a great time with friends. Learned two new games! (Exploding Kittens and Pandemic: The Cure. Both great.)

Contemplated skipping out on dinner (the third and final stage of a multi-part social event) to get takeout, go home and maybe chat with a friend -- until I realized that I would in fact be in violation of some relationship agreements on multiple levels.

(Level 1: don't compromise the rest of your social life. Level 2: WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU MISSED THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE DINNER WITH THAT WRITER.)

It was lovely fun! I had a very nice dinner with a lovely combination of people including new people, acquaintances, and people I've been meaning to catch up with. I met Charlie Stross and got to hear him rant about UK politics. I did not violate relationship agreements. And I will get to chat with my friend at another point!

Much talking with a friend, although admittedly, I think we were on the same page about a lot of it and I just needed to talk to someone about it.
