Just One Thing (17 July 2016)
Jul. 17th, 2016 09:25 pmIt's challenge time!
Comment with Just One Thing you've accomplished in the last 24 hours or so. It doesn't have to be a hard thing, or even a thing that you think is particularly awesome. Just a thing that you did.
Feel free to share more than one thing if you're feeling particularly accomplished!
Extra credit: find someone in the comments and give them props for what they achieved!
Nothing is too big, too small, too strange or too cryptic. And in case you'd rather do this in private, anonymous comments are screened. I will only unscreen if you ask me to.
Go!

Date: 2016-07-18 05:15 am (UTC)With the way we have been communicating, it was natural that it should happen this way. But it is not easy.

Date: 2016-07-18 01:44 am (UTC)Fed SO gourmet pizza and cute animal videos and was otherwise supportive when their depression was giving them a hard time.
Got into bed by midnight, instead of 1am or 1:30 (getting myself into bed on time is SO HARD.)

Date: 2016-07-18 07:31 am (UTC)Accomplished much in the world of outdoor chores.
Am trying not to berate myself or be harsh with myself over major decisions that are hard, even though every brainweasel I have in my brain is screaming at me that I'm a failure at adult life for not being able to handle the easy stuff.

Date: 2016-07-18 10:05 am (UTC)Good luck with the brainweasels. Major decisions are hard. And, can I just say from personal experience in event planning, decision fatigue is a real thing and it *sucks*. All the little things take on a weird importance when you know that if you get just one thing wrong, it could potentially be the one detail that makes your conference suck instead of rock.
It takes experience to sort out the unimportant details from the important details, and sometimes the small details turn out to be super important, which is why inexperience is such a special hell.
Anyway, good luck.
