Attempted to keep my cool even while things are not getting any less weird around me.

Spotted an early warning sign that could have resulted in potentially major badness and resentment, and talked it out, coming to a (hopefully) mutually helpful place where everybody can be okay.

Took turns crying.

Scheduled in-person social time, having coordinated schedules for the specific purpose.

Took the kids to meet up with friends, play in the playground, walk in the woods and afterward, eat ice creams. A+++ use of a Sunday afternoon.
