I really do love this icon. Crocheting it was an epic project, which I still need to write up properly for Ravelry. Especially now that I've finished my hysterectomy!

I can only imagine--- anatomically-accurate organ-crocheting would indeed be an epic undertaking!

Once upon a time in #dreamwidth IRC, kaberett said something about "putting on [their] sex-ed hat" in context of university, and the poor dear sweet students who needed a bit of information on How These Things Work. Then they paused, and reflected that they needed an actual sex-ed hat. And then they paused again, went "... and I knit."

About two weeks later, they had a viable sex-ed hat, with stylized frilly (crocheted!) labia, and a piercing.

In the same initial conversation, I went approximately "... I need one of these too. And I crochet."

Mine was less stylized, and took two years of (very) off-and-on work to complete. It's the full complement of organs and outside bits, with little snaps that attach it to a rainbow knit ski hat which I inherited from Quilting Aunt.
