Crocheted for two hours. I have a purple coin purse complete except sewing in the zipper now, and I have the base for a purse-sized purse in genderqueer pride colors. Also, finished that goddamn midterm, along with all the rest of my homework due today, and some of the work due this coming week.

I went clothes shopping. Both the store and the buses both ways were full of people, which was kind of stressful, but I now have clothes that will make me look a little closer to professional.

Congrats! Professional clothes shopping is one of my very least favorite activities so this is an amazing feat to me, not even counting the buses.

Another crazy long day, but at least I took time to eat. My new boss-boss accosted me to ask how yesterday went, and I told her how I hadn't felt supported by the boss during the day and that it is frustrating to be all kinds of busy and he's just off in his world working on his projects and not helping with all the aspects of guest service. I'm feeling really good about myself for feeling okay about talking to the boss-boss about these issues and that she'll support me in supporting my team.

I learned some of the basics of two new-to-me knitting techniques (or am beginning to): one is log cabin style knitting, the other is mosaic knitting, which I really want to learn more about.

Got left alone in a room with HF to work with and didn't freak out (my supervisor was right next door doing her stuff, but still!). And then got sent down without her to rely on the kindness of other lab-users for the next round of thing (by which time all the HF had evaporated anyway ;).
