It's challenge time!

Comment with Just One Thing you've accomplished in the last 24 hours or so. It doesn't have to be a hard thing, or even a thing that you think is particularly awesome. Just a thing that you did.

Feel free to share more than one thing if you're feeling particularly accomplished!

Extra credit: find someone in the comments and give them props for what they achieved!

Nothing is too big, too small, too strange or too cryptic. And in case you'd rather do this in private, anonymous comments are screened. I will only unscreen if you ask me to.

Go!

Ran errands with my dad. Helped my mom get tons of food ready for the next two days. I am so exhausted.

Soooo not a holiday.

But I think I'd be even more miserable if I didn't have any way to keep busy.

I accomplished my performance review meeting today, as well as taking a suggestion with grace, and am now ready to go after the next week with hope for...something.

Stayed late at work (23rd was a half day) to finish rerunning an analysis with PhD student after they realised that there were errors (incorrect identification of research group! participants with two ids for different parts of the data set! random variation in provided precision of data! other things!) in the data set that we've been working on for a few weeks, because it was provided to us as final and complete.

*sigh*

and now the 'ready for submission' paper has to be gone over with a fine toothed comb. Again.

Me too. At least the student who did the initial work has the excuse of having been an Honours student, rather than anything higher? But the number of explicit instructions about 'do it this way' that appear to have been ignored has probably gone into double digits.

But at least we aren't seeing findings that conflict with the literature...
