Emailed somebody to ask if she's up for trading roles on a thing: she takes the hard part (which she's done in the past and I haven't) and I take the easier part. (For given values of 'easier'; it still involves public speaking.) If she says okay, then I have one fewer major thing to stress about in the next few weeks.

I've been quite productive today in general, but my major accomplishment was giving a lecture in the class for which I'm normally a TA - to all ~200 students in the course. It was a lecture I've given before, but I'm also very pleased that I had finished editing it 40 minutes before I had to deliver it!

I resisted impulse-buying computer parts out of frustration with my 6-7 year old computer. Am instead attempting that whole "budget" thing...

Aye, definitely don't--budget and save for a new one. I tried the parts-repair route once and it only made things worse, unfortunately!
