Worked. Helped some kids, I think.

Did more work after work, as detailed below.

Went to a viewing and facilitated discussion of 'Out In The Night' for teachers. Did not retreat mentally from the terrible things that happened, described in the documentary, or even the small good ones. Consciously breathed.

Thought hard about racism, anti-black prejudice, heterosexism, and intersectional bias, my own identities both marginalized and privileged, and how all that relates to working as an educator and trying to actually serve my students and the interests of justice while being part of this messed-up system. Did not crash out although I was close the entire time.

Got contact information from the facilitators to learn more later, had a clue, and did not demand more of their time than that.

Learned about some upcoming events that may further address teaching as resistance / resistance while a teacher.

Got home safe*. (*for current US values of safe)

It was very good, but not very fun. :(

But I got to see Octopus Kid (one of my more difficult students) in a paper belt of 'tentacles' he made when we were making paper party hats for craft-and-music-and-extra-recess as a reward for filling our class jar of good-listening pompoms. That was a happy. :)

Had IUD placed. Feeling okay so far.

Attempted to bleach dingy bra. Effort failed so will consult with my mother to see if she has any laundering secrets that can help.

Gosh if you find out, let us know! I have some dingy bras too...so far my solution seems to be "buy dark ones, its less obvious then!" but that's not really much of a solution.

Cleaned the oven, in a half-assed way but at least it's a lot better now!

And because I am determined to start eating breakfast again, I made Hollandaise sauce so tomorrow I can have eggs and spinach with it.

Inflated my new bouncyball-chair shortly after it arrived, and felt so much better.

Kept my partner company on Skype.
