Applied spackling to fill the cracks in a glued-together slightly-broken wooden drawer that I am repairing on little bit at a time. Sanded off the excess spackling. Am pleased that I am able to do this sort of household thing, even if it is working out to about a week between steps.

Did anybody ever give you a piece of sandpaper and a good-sized stick and say 'here, experiment'? Because that is so worth it.

Ran a social event for the bisexual group. It was tiring, but definitely worth it.

I went to breakfast with friends and stories were shared.

I went to a living computer museum and saw many cool things, some of which I have actually used in my life.

I got to see the results of a Social Justice game jam, and they were really cool.

And I got to spend time with my partner.

Went to Richmond Castle in North Yorkshire. Carried the toddler on my shoulders for the first time. Found it loads easier; will be doing it more.

Yay! Anything that makes anything toddler-related easier is super noteworthy, 'toddler' and 'easy' are very nearly antonyms as far as I know.

There are many things going wrong in the world right now. One of the things people are doing to try to fix the world is to organize to encourage their elected officials to do the right thing. Any online community is going to have rough spots, even those trying very earnestly to do the right thing. So there are moderators. But how do those moderators know how to moderate? They get training, and rules. How do the training and rules happen? People figure out basic rules and go from there. Sometimes they get experienced help. And that's how I am working to make the world a better place this month.
