It's challenge time!

Comment with Just One Thing you've accomplished in the last 24 hours or so. It doesn't have to be a hard thing, or even a thing that you think is particularly awesome. Just a thing that you did.

Feel free to share more than one thing if you're feeling particularly accomplished!

Extra credit: find someone in the comments and give them props for what they achieved!

Nothing is too big, too small, too strange or too cryptic. And in case you'd rather do this in private, anonymous comments are screened. I will only unscreen if you ask me to.

Go!

Relaxing, anyway. I feel like I need a weekend about every other day, recently! But I'll manage.

yay for relaxing! And I feel like I'm on permanent weekends at the moment, and it is driving me up the wall (uni starts on Monday, kids school went back a month ago, so that is four weeks of 'I kind of wish I had energy to Do Something)

*nods* All the time and no energy sucks. As does energy and no time. I imagine there are people who regularly have time and energy left after getting through their day somehow, but I feel like I hardly ever meet them!

I used to. I really miss it. Just before I got sick, I was riding to work (~15 km each way) a couple of days a week, dealing with three kids, and finding time for gardening and the like. A decade later, I'm *still* beating myself up about the fact that I 'don't do enough', although less than I used to.

Changes are hard. Especially changes that take away things that were happy-making. It sounds like you have some personal insights to help you, but I bet they weren't easy to acquire.

I find it really helps that I have friends with significant chronic conditions, and that there are some really good communities on DW that I've managed to find, where people are very honest about living with chronic illnesses/limitations, because that gives me a sane and sensible baseline, rather than societal expectations. Mind you, I had an epiphany listening to talkback radio (Australian Radio National, so somewhat high-brow) talking about living with chronic pain, thinking 'that would be awful', getting partway through the story and realising that *I* live with chronic pain, and I just hadn't registered it, because I don't typically medicate for it!

Listening.

Sensible baselines are good.
