I got a pruning saw on a stick, and went and worked on the Russian olives with it.

The last homeowner did a real hack job on a few of them, and they're starting to look like they haven't been crape murdered. \o/

Do you eat the fruit at all? It's edible, but I don't know anyone who regularly eats it, but then you're the only person that I know who (to my knowledge) has their own trees.

Yesterday: work + dentist after work.

Today: called in sick. Need to rest. (My brain hates me for this.)

Learned some neat things about additive manufacturing and got a fidget fish for my troubles.

Fidget fish? What is fidget fish? Fidget fish?!

It's an otherwise unremarkable 3D-printed fish skeleton with articulatable joints so that it undulates pleasingly and works as a fidget device.

PS: It also works as a tasty phrase to repeat over and over.

I have now spent an hour looking at fidgets and building toys and other things that interlock or articulate pleasingly, with consideration for my fidget-y art-y self and my classroom's needs both, so thank you for the research bunny. (Or fish, rather.)
