Made some phone calls and sent some emails that were so anxiety-inducing I had to have a nap afterwards.

A couple of weeks ago, I was asked to work on a tender (a prelim design to try and win a bigger project) with a v close deadline. We did it to develop the relationship, not expecting to win. Now we are down to the last two and the end client specifically praised the quality of our work and said seeing my name on the documents was reassuring that it would be high quality ☺

Sunday at work, compressing so much work into so little time.

But then, a birthday date for a partner, with a nice movie and companionship.

Gave the first of my two talks this week. Overran my time slot, but that was due to lots of questions/interest in it. Still, apologised to the chair for it.

The first Monday of my new existence.

Formally registered myself at my intended public library, earning pleased greetings from more than one librarian.

Worked out a sensible plan for spending the night with my partner, and avoiding the scourge of parking two vehicles in the city, as well as racking up 100 miles of carpool. (We both look forward to the day when I can live much closer. For now, we can carpool when possible...)

Wrestled with leaky air mattress #2.
