They did, even though it turned out to be just the two of us! My partner got home during halftime, the food was ready, and we used their really sweet double screen setup for them to watch the game on one screen and me to play match-3 battle games on the other. That went on until their siblings called in order to play other things on the match-3 screen. We had a great time.
