To be honest, I'm mostly happy to have gotten through the day. It was pretty difficult.

Thanks. Yes, it has been, thank you. For one thing, it didn't involve a children's disco birthday party. (Disco birthday parties are fifth circle of hell for me.)

Disco party?! Oh, all the sympathies. I have been one of the supervising parents at school discos far too often to have any desire to ever go near anything like that again. Good on you for going through with it and not running away.

Have adjusted to my new skates enough that the jumps in skate class were possible, and I may have done the best jumps I've ever managed. Also, four revolutions in a spin for the first time ever!

Oh wow, that's so awesome! And four revolutions sounds dizzying but also thrilling.

Weirdly, not dizzying at all! Maybe once I can do a few more. But it was such a great feeling -- that moment of realising I had the balance and it was just going to happen!

I...managed to fortuitously look at my gas gauge in time so I could eep and get to a station in time.

Made successful brunch, including a new dish. Asked for help shredding cheese for the cheesy broccoli.

Had fun playing games, including a new one.

Did an IKEA run with vaguely reasonable results. I needed a bag to carry my gear back and forth from work. I have a strong contender.

Helped navigate in a moderately stressful situation (where is the nearest open gas station).
