Went to favourite cafe for food and coffee.

Moved tables when someone wearing ALL THE FRAGRANCE sat at the table next to mine.

Supermarket for food.

Post office to check my mail.

Did a difficult, stressful, unpleasant, necessary phone call.

Fed cats.

Took out some recycling.

Remembered that it is my mother's birthday. Gently shrugged, and went on with my day.

[back story: very nasty fight -> have spoken to my mother once in 25 years; have either forgotten entirely or had a emotionally difficult day on her birthday for many of those years.]
