I wrote a poem about how I feel like a bad big sibling for not really knowing who my middle sister is (or either of my other sisters or my brother, come to that, but this poem's about this sister in particular), and I showed to her, and we went shopping and had a bonding session.

I'm feeling pretty accomplished today! I took down the Christmas tree, got my hair cut, read a book and did yoga. I figured I might as well start the year as I mean to go on. It may just be a superstition but I need all the help I can get. ^^;

Yes, I know what you mean. Today was busy with holiday dinner, but tomorrow I'm doing the same thing: starting as I mean to go on.

I weeded through the small Christmas trinkets my mother offered me and only took the ones I would really use. And both of us were happy about it.

I put away the groceries that I had delivered this morning (fuudz for the oncoming snowstorm!), and finished writing up my reflections on 2013 (in meme form because online journals) and posted them.

Made a good New Year's Day dinner for the family and got the boxes of Christmas decorations taken upstairs to be put away.

Art!!! I painted a picture with people in it because I'm not ever going to have a perfect grasp of anatomy so I should just do pictures as I feel like it according to my current skill level, instead of feeling bad that I can't do it "right" yet.
