Emailed the councillor for my area about the issues with the house.

I prised myself out of bed with a crowbar despite SEVERE I-DON'T-WANNAS and got myself to my physiotherapist appointment on time to have painful but necessary things done to me.

Then I had some tasty food for lunch, and went to the chemist and bought a new CPAP mask.

ATM for cash out; Post Office to collect mail;

then THUD THUD THUD.

13 hour workday, of which 4-5 hours was sitting in a car while someone else drove.

It was a lot of fun -- agricultural Field Day, kind of like a huge fair?*. I pulled out a bunch of mothballed skills, and talked to a range of really interesting people. Including explaining a map that shows the current growing season so far in terms of the deciles of the last 40 years to a teen who probably went away only a little less confused, and a long and very satisfying conversation with a retired farmer who wanted to know Everything. I suspect she will take those things back to her community and spread around what we are doing -- she seemed like that kind of person.

*I really don't have the language to describe it. 'Like the Royal Show/Easter Show/whatever the Queensland one is called, only with more agricultural machinery and fewer caravans' really doesn't translate culturally.

We have something similar! The Royal Three Counties Show in the Malverns.

Cool! It occurred to me later that the umbrella term is 'Agricultural Show', where the Royal Show is actually the 'Royal Agricultural Society Annual Show' or some such. Side shows. Many many sheds of crafts and regional displays and food stuffs and animals. Vast arrays of agricultural machinery, holidaying equipment, and other large machinery. Judging of so many types of animals. Workshops on how to wash your chickens. Woodchopping competitions.

I remembered to put the trash AND the recycling out on the curb for pick-up. :P

Saved a bunch of useful electronics gear that was going to be binned, and brought it home.

Got information about the upcoming Silly Valley Fire Drill, which is going to involve 4 buildings, all the floors, and a few hundred people being moved. One of whom is me. And I'm the deputy reporting to the remote coordinator for my building's moving shenanigans.

Oh, and I might not have a job after it's over, because there won't be enough people in the building to warrant a receptionist.

Started packing immediately.

I mean, that just seems rude, after asking you to do all that for the move. :( Well done for being prepared.
