Yep. Teeth are fine, six months to next checkup. Huzzah.

Divvied up some work with co-worker that should mean that we both finish our sets of tasks at about the same time. I'll be pretty happy if they get through their bit with minimal hand-holding, but given one part of what I want them to do is write the 'how-to', mistakes will be as useful as getting it right first time.

I am cautiously optimistic.

Made decisions about transit. This did involve waiting an hour while someone was coaxed out from under a train car (of a nearby parked freight train) but I had a reasonable seat and air conditioning.

Wrote a thank-you note to the guy who kept his friend updated on the train situation. (He works for the company that owns the tracks.) It was very kind of him, and made a difference in the car morale.

That sounds like quite the experience. Yay for comfortable seating and air conditioning when things went a bit awry.
