Was able to successfully supply something for a decidedly last minute request without actually having to go out of my way.

Almost! It was 'oh, I needed to tweak that script, let me do that and this can be my test'. And it was. And I was as clever as I hoped to be, because it worked the first time.

Turned a mistake (forgetting Eldest's water bottle) into a useful errand (taking something important to the school office and dropping it off with the water bottle).

I suggested an opportune time for helpful coworkers to come out and do some cleaning up of the collection...which was very specifically time during which the regular caretaker of that collection is on vacation.

Figured out my niche in the command center of the massive corporate office internal move. Similar to what I did at a ... massive news event some 17 years ago ... for the room around me, I took in the information flowing at me and recorded it into a tidy list of questions, events, knowns, and unknowns. This was a much better day, but the experience was still draining.

It's apparently what comes naturally when I'm faced with a crisis, so I'm glad it comes in useful when it's merely busy.
