Took Middlest for an impromptu supervised drive (not really a lesson at this point, merely getting their log book hours up so they can take the test). We ended up doing a loop that had a couple of long hills, and then we ended up navigating the worst of the local Freeway entries. Another half dozen of such, a couple of professional lessons, and we should be set for them to do a test. If only they would actually book it...

Took advantage of a B---- F----- deal and bought a new washer-dryer, because I'm sick to the back teeth of the current one's cycle of breaking/us bodge-fixing it/breaking again the next week/arguing with Partner over whether or not we need a new one. My dreams of a winter holiday in the sun are dashed, but by Jove I'm determined to enjoy controlling my washing machine from my phone.

I sorted, folded, and put away the clothes mountain that I have spent the past couple of weeks moving from my desk chair to my bed and back every day, and I've also done my first load of laundry of the day!

Did things with leftovers.

Shared the delicious bottom layer of the rice cooked with turkey stock instead of water with my partner instead of eating it all myself.

Went to bed early.
