[personal profile] jazzyjj posting in [community profile] awesomeers
It's challenge time!

Comment with Just One Thing you've accomplished in the last 24 hours or so. It doesn't have to be a hard thing, or even a thing that you think is particularly awesome. Just a thing that you did.

Feel free to share more than one thing if you're feeling particularly accomplished!

Extra credit: find someone in the comments and give them props for what they achieved!

Nothing is too big, too small, too strange or too cryptic. And in case you'd rather do this in private, anonymous comments are screened. I will only unscreen if you ask me to.

Go!

Yay. Creative productivity is the best.

I finished and posted a fic that covered both a prompt on my [community profile] ladiesbingo card and a challenge at [community profile] snowflake_challenge.

I finally figured out that the reason everything hurts is that I'm ill, so I gave myself a day off which I have spent resting and reading and drinking plenty of liquids.

Made chicken in the new sous vide. Making pasta to go with it now.

Took the dog on 2 walks today. Went into office and organized desk drawer and did some paperwork & filing.

Really well. Nice and juicy and tender. We had steak the day before and it was amazing!

Nice! I’m often tempted by a sous vide machine, but I don’t have the counter space at the moment. (I have more counter space than most people, but also I like having lots of counter space.)

I have been pondering installing a shelf for the microwave, which would free up a fair bit of room, but I’m unsure about how much harder it would make taking hot things out of said microwave.

Depends on how short you are and what dishes you normally put in the microwave.

I'm fairly short and the microwave is above the stove. Its not too bad.

I’m about 160cm, which is apparently considered fairly short (personally I think it’s a perfectly normal height).

I have a possibly-bad habit of taking things out of the microwave by pulling them out onto the counter without waiting the 1 minute all the instructions tell you to wait for them to cool down a bit, and also I never put ready meals on a microwave-safe plate like they tell you to.

Maybe what I need is a microwave shelf with a retractable extra shelf underneath it for me to pull the thing out onto. Or maybe I’m just making this all far too complicated!

I'm 5'2" which is about the same height. I tend to use kitchen towels or oven mitts when im taking hot bowls and such out of the microwave.
