Besides the chores around the house this morning, I got to have some creative time. I started writing a new fic, got to read a little and up-cycled a glass pudding jar into a decoupaged candle holder.

I wish I could post pictures. I can't figure out how to from my camera. My laptop won't take a memory card and I don't have a smart phone.

Please ignore the following if you don’t want unsolicited advice or if you’ve already tried this, but I have found that if you just plug a camera into a laptop, surprisingly often the laptop will do something useful, e.g. mounting the camera as an external drive. The cable you need is usually USB to micro-USB, which is very common — it’s often a detachable part of the camera’s charging device, but if not you can buy one for around £4. They look like this (though of course the cable part can be longer than that).

I'm happy for suggestions. I'll look at my camera again, but I don't think it will fit. My camera is a little odd. The charger only charges the battery. You actually take out the battery and snap it into the charger and plug the charger into the wall. It takes nice picutures, but I hadn't thought about uploading them to the computer when I got it.

What’s the brand name and model number of your camera?

It's a Panasonic Lumix. I can't actually see the model number it's so small. I did look it over and there's no place for a USB cord of any size. It's something like 7 years ago when you trotted the memory card and stick it in the photo machine, which is what I still do and print pictures. Next time I get into the drug store I need to look and see if you can put a memory stick in it after you download your pictures from the memory card. That's the only solution I've come up with.

If you go through all the on-camera settings, can you see anything there that mentions WiFi or Bluetooth?

I don't think so, but I'll double check.

Hung out again w/neighbor friend across the hall for most of the day. Did dishes and read some more in my book.





Started researching the upcoming elections. I'm honestly still debating whether or not to vote even in November. I know it's a crucial election for some of us, but with all that's been going on here at my apartment complex I may not have time. Perhaps I'll vote by mail and actually get help doing so this time.
