Took the recyclables and trash bins out to the street to be picked-up, it's a day late since Monday was a holiday, been looking on Etsy for Christmas presents since I have a coupon, and put the dog's wash in and fed him.

This country has gone straight to hell in a handbasket. It's amazing and depressing at the same time. I figured things would get crazy, given the current C-in-C, but I couldn't have dreamed things would disintegrate this badly, this quickly. This past week has felt like a year. I can't wait to get my passport and get the hell out of here.

It's different in detail to the future I imagined on November 9 2016 as I was hiding under the covers praying to wake up and have the 8th be a nightmare, but it's about the same in scale now.

I'd like a new timeline, please.

Now that you mention it, I wish I could do the same. I'm a US citizen though, so unfortunately I have to stay. I guess we'll just have to wait it out though and just hope for a much brighter future. Totally agree with you though.

Had my first chat with Great Grandboss.

Plucked up courage and had chat with Boss at the end of the day to find out about the status of a Thing. It went better than expected.

Updated my Mac, and discovered through some searching on Apple's website, that my Mac is probably due for a new battery very soon. Either that or I might be looking at a new Mac in the near future. But so far so good with the update.





Talked on the phone with a neighbor, and I think I've perhaps come to the realization that he absolutely needs me to play a rather major role in his life. I think I sort of came to that conclusion already. It's not that I don't want to be friends anymore with him, because I really do and I know he does. Just that I haven't gone through most of the stuff which he has, and I really don't want to do or say something wrong about this stuff. I have to a degree done this a few times already, and he has kindly told me not to. The tricky part in all this is convincing others to help me out. The stuff he has gone through is rather confidential, and I think that's definitely coming into play. His living family is not helping much. Or perhaps some of them are trying.

Made a phone call to confirm details of some appointments, after lunch.

Went to my pelvic exam. Had a bonus surprise top exam, and I will be getting a mammogram as a birthday present. (Argh.)

Came home and took the two calls constituting the dentist virtual visit.

Coped with the heat.

I took the grass cutting tools to the lawn. Which turned out to have extra benefit because I woke up to the sounds of thunder.
