Well, all the collections are completely contactless - I put stuff outside in a plastic box and message people when it is outside. [You can't see my front door from the street, it is up a long driveway and around a corner]

And as of today, my state has a total of nine known active cases of COVID, all of which are in travellers recently returned from overseas who are in hotel quarantine.

While a lot of stuff I've given away has had strong demand or some demand,

I also have a lot of DVDs and books that I am struggling to rehome.

Normally I would take them to my favourite Op Shop - a not-religious Environmental opshop -, but I am not willing to leave the house to do that at the moment. In addition to the COVID risk - much lower than in most of the world, but still nonzero, especially with COVID cases in Victoria escalating, and my state gets regular long distance truck driver deliveries from Victoria - I can't afford to risk catching a bad cold while I am getting ready to move house, since even a bad cold can knock me flat for a month.

I completed a solar revolution by opening a time capsule from my past self and writing a letter to my future self.

Picked out carpet samples. One was a hit, the other a miss, and not the way round I thought they were going to be. Further investigation will be needed for one of the rooms.

Harvested beetroot, peas, mange tout, raspberries, blackcurrants, potatoes and gooseberries from our garden.

Had a nice Fourth of July here at my parents' place. A friend of mine has a birthday right on the Fourth so I emailed him.





Caught up on some more reading and podcast listening.





My father grilled steak, and I talked via phone again with a neighbor. Also got to watch some fireworks from here.

Baked cookies as a group project.

Went outside to watch the boom-booms from the safety of the lawn, and enjoyed it.

Did something useful and started removing the incorrect monogram from housemate's laundry sack.
