Just one thing: 4 August 2020
Aug. 3rd, 2020 01:08 pmIt's challenge time!
Comment with Just One Thing you've accomplished in the last 24 hours or so. It doesn't have to be a hard thing, or even a thing that you think is particularly awesome. Just a thing that you did.
Feel free to share more than one thing if you're feeling particularly accomplished!
Extra credit: find someone in the comments and give them props for what they achieved!
Nothing is too big, too small, too strange or too cryptic. And in case you'd rather do this in private, anonymous comments are screened. I will only unscreen if you ask me to.

Date: 2020-08-05 11:58 am (UTC)Met my replacement in my Old Job and was delighted to find it was someone I knew already, who decided to transfer from research into professional services. I have confidence they'll be excellent in the role.

Date: 2020-08-08 05:39 pm (UTC)Screen replacement is $250 in the next week. After that, it would not be repaired.
A current model is in the $400 range.
I'm probably going to ride this one into the ground until I have to replace it.

Date: 2020-08-09 08:07 am (UTC)I’m trying to get my no-longer-non-stick rice cooker insert recoated, since everything about the rice cooker works absolutely fine, it’s just the insert is now a real pain to clean. I’m expecting it to cost at least as much as a new rice cooker (and that’s if any of the coating companies I emailed ever get back to me).
(And no, I can’t just buy a new insert — my partner did extensive research and found they no longer sell replacement parts for this model.)
